Easy Google Maps Downloader

Easy Google Maps Downloader is a tool to automatically download Google Maps images to your computer. It can download all maps including normal maps, satellite maps, topographic maps, etc. and then save these images to your hard drive. Once downloaded, you can view the map offline using the Maps Viewer tool or you can stitch small images into larger images. If you want to create your own city map, this tool is very helpful for you.

Note: Downloaded images are for personal use only and not for commercial use.

See the picture below. Extremely simple usage:

1. Enter the task name , such as " Mytask.egmd ". All task files are saved as * .egmd.

If you want to continue an old task, click "Open task .".

2. Select Maps type (map type). There are 4 types of maps.

3. There are 4 parameters ( Left Longitude, Right Longitude, Top Latitude, Bottom Latitude ) (longitude on left, right longitude, latitude above, latitude below) determine the range of images you want to load about.

Longitude on the left: -180

Right longitude: -180

Latitude above: -85

Latitude below: -85

For longitude and latitude, the unit is degrees. You can convert 'degrees, minutes, seconds' to 'degrees' by clicking on the "Tools-> Convert 'Degrees, Minutes, Seconds' to 'Degrees' ." menu .
