Manual steps:

Step 1: Install and launch Jihosoft File Recovery

Double click on the installation package to set up the program on your computer. Then, press the application icon to launch it. On the main screen, select the file recovery mode you want.

Step 2: Select the partition to scan for lost files

All internal and external hard drives will be detected and listed by the program on the left panel. Make a selection and check the drive you want to recover from.

Note: If you want to recover files from an external storage device, please connect the device to the computer first.

Step 3: Select a file format to scan

Visit the ' Advanced Scan ' tab, select the type of file you want to recover in the file list. For example, if you only want to recover a jpg file, be sure to select it only. This will greatly improve file scanning speed.

Step 4: Preview the scan results

When the scan is finished, all recoverable files will be listed in the left panel by folder. You can view information related to the file such as name, category, size, modification time and content in the right panel.

Step 5: Recover lost files

Check the file you want to recover, then click the ' Recover ' button at the bottom right to begin the data recovery process.
