Odboso FileRetrieval is a powerful data recovery tool that helps you recover lost or accidentally deleted data from Windows operating systems and external storage devices. The tool can recognize files based on their format, such as DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, VSD, PST, BMP, JPG, PSD, TIF, AVI, WAV, ZIP, RAR , HTML and many other file formats.

Odboso FileRetrieval supports all Windows file systems, including FAT 12/16/32, NTFS and NTFS5. The preview function is integrated in the program so you can see exactly what needs recovering.

Steps to recover lost or deleted data:

Step 1: Do you remember the location of lost files or folders?

If the answer is yes, click cancel to go to step 2.

If the answer is no, click cancel and skip to step 3.

If you want to scan deeply, click on Next and skip to step 6.

Step 2: Open FileRetrieval, in the left directory tree, you can view the deleted folders or files.

Step 3: Click the "Search" button on the toolbar

Use the Search for field to enter the name of the file you want to find.

Click Search to search for deleted files and folders.

If you click on the Search recourse subdirectories option , Odboso FileRetrieval will find all subfolders, this function will take more time.

Step 5: What is the status of your lost file (Poor, Good or Excellent)?

File status shows the minimal damage of a deleted file. If the file status is Excellent , it can be recovered almost 100%. If the file status is Poor , file recovery is possible but the chances are poor, and the file status is Good , the chances of recovery are higher.

In this step, you can preview the deleted file in the preview window by clicking on it.

Step 6: You can deeply scan for lost files

First select the driver, then click the Deep Scan button on the toolbar. The Deep Scan dialog box will appear, click Start Scan to start the deep scan.

Deep Scan will take more time and it will scan the entire drive surface in search of deleted data.

File types supported by Deep Scan :

• Picture format: BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PCX, PNG, PSD, TGA, TIF, TIFF.
• RAW image format: CR2 (CRW) (Canon CR2 / CRW), NEF (Nikon NEF) RAF (Fuji RAF), PEF (Pentax PEF), ORF (Olympus ORF).
• Microsoft Office document format: DOC (Microsoft Word) XLS (Microsoft Excel) PPT (Microsoft PowerPoint) VSD (Microsoft Visio).
• Document formats: 3DS, DBF, DXF, PDF, HTM, HTML.
• Archive format: RAR, ZIP.
• Email formats: DBX (Microsoft Outlook Express Email file), PST (Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders File), MSG (Microsoft Outlook Message file).
• Multimedia format: AVI, 3GP, MOV, MP4, MIDI, MP3, WAV, CDR.

Step 7: Complete Deep Scan

After the deep scan is completed, you can view the file as FILE_XXX in Folder Lost Files .

If you find the file you want to recover, click the Recover button in the toolbar.
