PearlyWhites was formerly known as Pearl Whites . In essence PearlyWhites is a plug-in filter compatible with Adobe Photoshop, which helps to whiten and brighten automatically the model's teeth in photos.

When taking pictures with a digital camera or a dynamic device, accidentally or usefully, different camera angles and lighting conditions will create yellow patches on teeth. Don't worry, PearlyWhites is here to help you restore your bright teeth with a few steps in Photoshop. You can open PearlyWhites on each image or add buttons in Photoshop to process multiple images at once professionally.

PearlyWhites is a plug-in compatible with Adobe Photoshop

Since Pearly Whites 2.0, this tool has been equipped with a slider to adjust the intensity of the whitening effect for images. Just move the slider left or right to get the desired effect. Alternatively, you can select the Less or More button for the most natural white teeth. The value will be calculated from 0 to 100 and the default is 50. PearlyWhites will also remember your latest setting to use for later times.

Users can easily view photos before and after editing with PearlyWhites by selecting the button below the image or pressing the Navigation Window when the button is in After state. After clicking OK , the slider value will be saved and used for later times.

Simple operation as with other features of Photoshop

Create PearlyWhites button in Photoshop

  • Open any image in Photoshop.
  • Create a new feature button by clicking the Create new action button at the bottom of the Actions panel. This will create and save a new feature in the Action folder.
  • Name this operation PearlyWhites and then click Record .
  • Run PearlyWhites filter as usual in Photoshop. Select Filter> Image Trends Inc> PearlyWhites.
  • To process a series of images, click Save As from the File section.
  • Then create a new folder name.
  • Select the format you want to save the image.
  • Click Open to continue.
  • Select Save to continue and save the file to a new folder.
  • Then set the image quality to your liking.
  • Click OK .
  • In the Action panel, click the Stop Recording button . This is the square button located at the bottom left of the board.

Batch processing images with PearlyWhites

Batch command allows operation on an entire folder containing many files and subfolders. Similar to the operation you just created above, you can save the processed files to a new location, create a new folder to store them before batch processing photos.

  • Choose File> Automate> Batch.
  • Choose the corresponding settings and actions from the expanded Set and Action menu.
  • To find the source, select Folder from the drop-down menu.
  • Click Choose to specify and select the directory.
  • Click OK .
  • Uncheck Override Action "Open" Commands.
  • Select Include All Subfolders to handle files in subfolders.
  • Select Suppress Color Profile Warnings to close the notification.
  • Select Folder from the drop-down menu.
  • Select Choose to locate and select the folder.
  • Click OK .
  • Select the Override Action "Save As" Commands. This operation requires the Save As command in the Action section because the Batch command does not automatically save the source file.
  • Because the Folder is already selected as the location to save the destination file, users need to specify the file name manually and then select the appropriate options for the processed file.
  • For File Naming, select the components from the drop-down menu or enter manually to combine the default names of the entire file. Here, you can change the order, the image format and the default name that contains more information such as dates, locations, projects .
