1. Create a project

2. Select the file

The Screencast section allows you to use screen recording videos to insert in the video clip you are about to create. By default, the program only allows you to record a small amount in the middle of the screen. If you want to get wider, drag the edges of the transparent frame and drag it to enlarge. Then to start recording, click the icon in the left corner of the screen. If you want to stop, just click on it again. The movie will be automatically added in the Screencast section.

3. Publish

You can choose the resolution for the output video in the Resolution section, up to 640x480 pixels if using the free version. If you use paid Smideo HD, you can create videos as high as 1920x1080 pixels.

In the Video Effects section you choose the effect for output video, there are 2 effects including Dynamic and Relaxing . With Dynamic , the image will appear quickly and move in no direction on the screen when performing, whereas with Relaxing mode, the image will show slowly and project the entire frame, for higher image quality. . Click Finish to begin publishing your project into a video clip. You can then review it or in the main interface of the program, click Edit to edit and publish a new video clip if you are not satisfied with the newly exported video clip.
