Mac users love Growl, a comprehensive messaging system that displays notifications from their favorite apps for events like new emails, or completed downloads. And now Windows users can also have the same features with Snarl.

Although Snarl does not completely imitate Growl, the software has many of the same features as the ability to customize notification types.

Snarl can work well with applications like Firefox, Pidgin, iTunes, Windows Live Mesenger and can compete with Growl.
