The Mac OS X firewall helps protect you from connections that originate from outside your computer. What about software from your computer that opens new connections to the Internet? With TCPBlock, you can prevent specific applications on your computer from opening connections to the Internet.

TCPBlock is implemented as a module containing all blocking logic. You can configure it in the Preference table of System Preferences TCPBlock or with the tcpblock command. All configuration changes are created continuously in a configuration file on the hard drive. At startup, TCPBlock will read its configuration from the drive and be ready to go.
