Xplorer2 Pro (32-bit)

Like FireFox replacing Internet Explorer, Xplorer2 Pro 1.8.1.3 aims to replace Windows Explorer, satisfying the requirements of users who have the habit of opening multiple folders simultaneously, as well as copying, pasting, moving and searching regularly. .

Windows Explorer is a very familiar data management component for Windows users, but it is extremely poor at tasks that require accessing multiple files at once. Overcoming this drawback, Xplorer2 offers tabbed browsing, keyboard shortcuts and a host of other impressive functions.

Double display

The first point worth noting is that Xplorer2 displays 2 folders at the same time on one screen. This function is extremely handy especially for those who often copy or move files from one folder to another. At the same time, the folder in the device is still displayed a familiar tree shape on the left side of the screen.

To switch between the 2 currently displayed folders, press the Tab button. The selected folder will have a white background, and the other gray. To turn off the tree view, go to View -> uncheck ' Show Tree '.

Browse files by tab

If 2 folders at the same time do not satisfy the needs, you can open a series of folders as you like in tab format. Go to File> NewTab , or simply press Ctrl + ins to open a new tab. Move between tabs with shortcut Ctrl + shift + arrow keys. You can also rename the tab as you like by right-clicking and selecting Rename .

Bookmark (bookmark) folders and files

Like you bookmarking sites during web surfing, Xplorer also provides you with bookmarking and shortcuts corresponding to each bookmarked folder for quick access. To add a folder to the bookmark, select Add current from the bookmark menu. To edit the bookmark menu, select Organize as shown. To bookmark a file instead of a folder, add the file's name to the end of the folder path.

FTP

Technical users will probably be interested in the ftp server available in Xplorer2, a function that is virtually absent in Windows Explorer. With Xplorer2, copying and moving files from your computer to the webserver will be 'as gentle as possible'.

Note that Xplorer2 only supports unencrypted file transfers, and must provide a username / password right in the bookmark folder.

File filtering

Working with many types of files at once on Xplorer2 is very easy. You can use a 'filter' to select all files beginning with 'g', or ending with 'png'. Just type in the address bar of xplorer2 - for example + .txt - and start copying and pasting as if no other files existed in the same folder.

Shortcut keys

Xplorer2's shortcut and search system goes far beyond the old WindowsExplorer. Type the first few letters of the file or folder into the address of Xplorer2, and the search will begin immediately. Hold Shift to search by file extension, eg shift + tx will take you to files with .txt extension. Or press F5 to copy files between folders. You can see the full list of Xplorer2 keyboard shortcuts in the Help section of the software.

Cut and merge files

Another function not found in Windows explorer. You can cut, merge a large file or a video in GB with the 'split' function. From the Action menu, select Split and the size of each part after cutting, click OK . Want to move the file back to the way it was, select all the parts and 'join' from the Action meu.
