HeyTell for Android

HeyTell is a cross-platform voice messaging and calling application that allows users to instantly talk to friends and family members if they also use Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 7 devices only with a simple push of a button.

• Tip: If you're connected to a wifi network and don't want to miss messages, remember to set Wifi Sleep Policy to Never: Menu> Settings> Wireless & Networks> Wi-Fi Settings> Menu> Advanced> Wi-Fi sleep policy> Never.
• Quickly make friend / unfriend / block. Add contacts as friends, making sure you can quickly find them by touching the To: field and tapping Friends .
• Choose one of 3 different security levels to manage how users can contact you without inviting:
  • Low privacy: All friends on Facebook can HeyTell you. Any Twitter follower user is also HeyTell. Anyone who knows your phone number or email address can HeyTell.
  • Medium privacy: All your Facebook friends can HeyTell you. Any Twitter user is also HeyTell. Friends of HeyTell friends knowing your phone number or email address will also HeyTell you.
  • High privacy: No one can contact you unless you contact them first or unless you accept an invitation to connect to Twitter, Facebook, email or SMS.
• Choice: share location with a contact while talking to them.
  • Tip:To send location information to a contact, users will have to open the MAPS page (tap the Target button) when sending HeyTell messages.For security reasons, HeyTell does not send location information if users do not allow and request to open Maps.
• Conversations can be saved and played offline or deleted.
  • Tip: Press and hold personal conversations and messages to access the View , Delete , and Export options.
• All data and audio users transmit through HeyTell and their friends are encrypted during transmission.
• Headset and speaker function: Press the Speaker button to turn on / off between headset and speaker mode (If you find the sound of the headset is too small, you can turn on the speaker).
• Users do not need to share personal information to connect with HeyTell contacts and have full control over personal information.

Tips:

• Backup your account so you don't have to make friends again when changing phones or updating ROMs. To do this, exit HeyTell and activate the Backup option by going to Menu> Settings> Privacy or Backup & Sync .
• In case the user can send a message to a friend but not receive a message from them, ask them to reply directly to them by touching the active conversation. This may be because the contact information they are using to search for you does not match what you have set for yourself or because your privacy is higher. However, answering directly on conversations is always active.
• If you receive Inbox Full messages, users do not need to delete the application or message. This is because your friend needs to hear or reply to the message you sent before to send the message. After they heard or answered, you were able to continue talking.

Note that the carrier may charge you and the recipient when sending invitations. However, users can invite for free by email and connect directly to other HeyTell users, email, Twitter and Facebook.

HeyTell for Android new version update:

• Add workarounds for Samsung phones when messages are sometimes blocked.
• Update Facebook and Twitter SDKs; Invite via Facebook continues to operate.
• Fix the lost Map background.

Note: In rare cases, after an application update, the system fails to stop the first version of the application. Recommend users after updating HeyTell, restart the whole to avoid cases like this: Menu> Settings> Apps> Manage Apps> HeyTell> Force Stop . Then reopen HeyTell.
