HJSplit for Linux - File splitting software

HJSplit for Linux is a free file splitting software for Linux with a user-friendly graphical interface.

HJSplit supports file sizes up to over 100 Gigabytes, splits, joins files / recombines files, checks MD5 codes (Message-Digest algorithm 5 - is an encryption algorithm), compares files, 'runs that' No installation required 'and the program is completely mobile.

HJSplit for Linux does not need to be installed and it does not depend on any special libraries. Just unzip hjsplitlx.tar.gz and save it to a directory of your choice and start the program from the Linux file manager or terminal window. You may need to adjust the file permissions to allow execution.

New features of HJSplit for Linux 3.1 software:

- HJSplit 3.1 for Linux was recreated from scratch using Lazarus / Free Pascal programming tool. HJSplit for Linux no longer depends on Kylix libraries which are often difficult to install.

- HJSplit can check MD5.

- You can specify 'Gigabytes' as a division unit.

- Add 'Pause' button: If you click on the pause button, HJSplit will pause (but not terminate) the current process (split, compare, check, join file). Clicking on this button will continue to work.

- Add 'Cancel' button: This allows you to cancel the current operation (split, compare, check, join files). When clicking 'Cancel' HJSplit will pause and request confirmation.

- Add progress display including percentage of current process (0% - 100%).

- When you cancel a split operation, the files created during this operation will be deleted.

- Support for large files. HJSplit for Linux can split and combine files to over 100 Gigabytes.
