HJ-Split for PHP - File splitter for Webmasters

HJSplit PHP script splits files online (on your Website or Webserver). It is compatible with HJSplit, so you can recombine split files again (after downloading) using HJSplit.

Some webmasters do not have remote shell access (a remote shell is a command line program) to their websites. This prevents them from splitting large files (such as MySQL backups) into smaller files. HJSplit PHP scripts will help them. Assuming you have an online file with a size of 200 MB, it will be difficult to download because of its size. Using this script you can split files, such as 10 small files, each 20 MB file, then you can download each file individually.

How to use this script:

(first). Make sure the write permissions are set on the destination directory.

(2). Adjust the script according to your needs.

(3). Upload the file 'filesplit.php' to your server (or run it on local PC).

(4). For security reasons, the destination file name has been encrypted inside the script. However, you can always change the PHP code so that the destination file is set from the outside using the example: $ _GET ['filename']

(5). Start the script inside the web browser using the example: 'https://www.your-web-site.com/filesplit.php'.

You can also run it from the shell using 'php filesplit.php'.
