Serial Port Mapper is a utility that allows you to map any serial port into a port with a new name. In other words, it allows creating nicknames for serial ports. For example, you install an expansion card for the serial port, COM5. However, your favorite software can only work with COM1 . COM4 ports, cannot be reconfigured to work with COM5 ports. To solve this problem, you need to map COM5 port to COM1 port. As a result, after mapping, your software will open COM1 port, but it is actually working with COM5 port. Version 1.5 adds Windows support and automatic upgrade as well as some bug fixes.
