Functions

Taptu is a great news reader. It allows you to view all your favorite news streams through a single application. Taptu allows users to get news from any source you want, preloaded with some of the world's famous news sources, and has the ability to import your favorite news sources from Google Reader.

Taptu displays all sources on the home screen in tab view. Each news source or stream is provided with a separate row on the home screen. Each article has a separate tag in the row with a short quote attached. This is also the same way to display news with the Pulse News Reader. The main difference is that Taptu provides users with a more powerful reader as well as a less hassle-free user interface. Each of the news tags and streams is perfectly set together. This brings a great reading experience and interesting feel to the interface.

To be able to add new news streams to Taptu, just click Plus Sign and a list of the most relevant news streams will appear. These include The Drudge Report, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, MSNBC, Bloomberg, Mashable and others. Users can also browse the news headlines by subject or enter the current news stream from Google Reader.
Besides, Taptu also allows users to add news streams to the main screen with news not listed in the database. To find a particular news stream, simply enter the name of the feed in the search box into Taptu, which will search the web with Bing to find the news you want.

Taptu also allows users to rearrange news streams by clicking on the Pencil Tool Tip . This allows you to categorize feeds based on priority. This useful tool supports a combination of news feeds to create your own news package. This feature is very interesting because it helps users reduce unnecessary information on the home screen without affecting the content. You can also delete feeds via this menu.

Through the settings menu, users can change a lot of options. It allows you to set the size of Articles and Cards on the home screen, change the theme from light to dark, or adjust the scrolling of news streams.
