Windows Clippings makes it possible to save a wide range of formats, the software includes an important feature for Vista screen capture - the ability to capture window shadows. To use it, press the Print Screen key, click the window you want to capture, and then double-click. You can instruct the program to prompt each time you want to choose where you want to save the file or you can design a certain folder to receive the entire screen shot. For basic screen captures, the free version fully meets this requirement. However, if you want to capture the mouse pointer, outline specific areas of the screen, or use some other features, you have to pay to get those features.
