Print Edit

When browsing the web in Firefox, there are really useful pages so you want to print them out for your convenience. But nowadays websites often contain a lot of unwanted content such as ads or even empty pages. With the Print Edit add-on, you can easily preview the printout of the web page and then edit it, and also allow you to select the parts you want to print on the page, hide or delete unwanted parts.

First you download and install Print Edit. The Print Edit button will then be added to the browser's URL bar. Clicking on it will bring up four basic options: Print , Print Preview, Print Edit and Page Setup . With Print Preview the web page will open in print preview mode and allow you to edit as you like.

Here, you will see an Edit button in the upper right corner of the window:

Clicking Edit will bring up several options for editing this page (like the Print Edit option):

• Deselect : cancel all the selected content.
• Hide : Hide selected content (usually used to preview the rest to be printed).
• Delete : delete the selected content.
• Hide Except : Hides all unselected content.
• Delete Except : deletes the entire selected content.
• Web Style : remove or apply CSS.
• Format : provides sixteen format attributes that can be applied to the selected element or nest these elements.

In Print Edit mode, the program automatically analyzes web page elements. Each time you move the mouse pointer over, each of these elements will be highlighted by a red border. Click on each part to select, click again to cancel. After you have finished editing your printout, press Preview to return to Print Preview mode. Click Print . to print, or click Close to close and return to the current web page.

By right-clicking on the selected piece of content, the Inspect dialog box displays the properties and format of that section.

From the Options menu of this extension, you can change a number of other displays such as the color of the element when hovered over, when selected . or the width of the border.

With the Print Edit add-on your web print job will become easier and more convenient. With just a few simple mouse clicks, you can choose your own content.
